Order of High Priesthood

Order of High Priesthood: A degree, or order, conferred upon those who have been elected and are serving, or have served, as High Priest of their respective Chapters. The Order is regularly conferred during the annual convocations of Grand Chapters, by a selected group of officers
made up of those active in Royal Arch Masonry. In some jurisdictions, such as New York, the Order is required before one can preside over a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons. [Contributed by Richard Eades, edited from Ray Denslow’s A Royal Arch Encyclopedia]
